This page explains how to delete your Fostering Family account, the app from Fostering Family Ministries, and what happens to your information when you do.
How to delete your account
In the mobile app: open Settings, choose Delete account, and confirm.
On the web: sign in at my.fosteringfamily.app, open your Profile page, choose Delete account, and confirm.
By email: if you can't sign in or don't have the app, email info@fosteringfamilyministries.org from the address on your account and ask us to delete it. We may ask you to confirm the request is yours.
What is deleted right away
Your sign-in, name, email address, phone number, mailing address, profile photo and bio are deleted, along with your notification settings, device push tokens, notifications, and your links to teams, churches, regions, families and events. You will no longer be able to sign in or receive communications from the app. A deleted account can't be restored.
What is kept
Your ministry relies on some records to serve families, so these are kept:
Messages you sent
Notes and files you added
Logged volunteer activity and donations
These records stay in the app under the name "Deleted User". Anything you wrote in them is not changed, so they may still contain details you included.
We also keep a security log showing that an account was deleted, along with its role and email domain.
How long it is kept
Kept records stay for as long as your ministry needs them to support the families it serves. Your ministry's administrators can remove them. To ask about specific records, contact info@fosteringfamilyministries.org. For more detail, see our Privacy Policy.
